Rick McMullen, age 65 of Saginaw Mo., passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, following a sudden illness
Rick was born on June 26, 1952, in Joplin, Mo., the son of Kenneth McMullen and Joan Jones. He served on the Saginaw Village Board. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks, enjoyed going to the lake, hunting, and working on his yard. He worked for TAMKO Building Products for 32 years before retiring in 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth McMullen; He is survived by his mother Joan McMullen-Thompson and her husband H.L. Thompson of Joplin, a brother Danny McMullen of Pierce City, Mo., two sisters Kathy Case and husband Richard of Oronogo, Mo., Sherry Birkinsha of Joplin, Mo., and his nieces and nephews.
Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at Mason-Woodard Chapel. James Lee and Rex Robertson will be officiating. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6-7 p.m. Thursday evening at the Mortuary. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery in Joplin.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Crisis Center in Carthage, Mo. in care of the Mortuary.
