Gladys F. Wilson, 98, Neosho, entered into rest on April 14, 2018 at Communities of Wildwood in Joplin.
Gladys was born Feb. 9, 1920 in Newton County, the daughter of William and Mary (Puett) Murray and was a lifelong area resident. She had worked at Big Smith for many years and then as a cook at the Neosho Senior Center for eight years. She was an avid quilter and a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ.
Gladys and Joseph Wilson were married on Aug. 7, 1935 in Newton County and he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1999. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Roy Lee Wilson and Howard Wilson and a grandson, Greg Wilson. Gladys is survived by four grandchildren, Jeff Wilson of Neosho; Dwayne Wilson of Colorado; Damon Wilson of Seneca and Tina Wilson Ferguson of Neosho; ten great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Denny Kruse will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ragan Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Damon Wilson, Dusty Altman, Dustin Farley and Jimmie Farley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, prior to the service from 9:30 until service time.
