Helen M. Myers, 90, Carthage, MO, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home with her family at her bedside. Helen Mae Wilson was born August 6, 1927 in Phelps, MO; a daughter of the late Robert Wilson and Myrtle (Archer) Wilson. She was a graduate of Carthage High School, Class of 1945. She married Guy Myers on January 3, 1949 in Bentonville, AR; he preceded her in death on September 4, 2003.
Survivors include two daughters; Sandra Myers, Carthage and Roberta (Ron) Newberry, Rosehill, KS; three sons, David (Lisa) Myers, Allen Myers and Guy L. Myers, all of Carthage. Four grandchildren, Craig (Linda) Myers, Becky Newberry, Travis (Shauna) Myers and Stacy (KC) Hagensieker; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Sue Myers, and two brothers, Robert and Harlan Wilson.
Helen was a loving and caring mom and grandma. She loved spending time with her family and getting to travel. Some of her favorite places included Florida (Disney World), Branson (Silver Dollar City and Dixie Stampede), and The Smoky Mountains. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held 3:00 – 4:00 pm, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Monday, April 16, 2018 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Ron Franklin will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
