Daniel Clay Seitz, 58, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his home in Nevada following a sudden illness. Daniel was born October 5, 1959 in Nevada to Gerald George and Betty Josephine (Claiborne) Seitz. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Attebury on April 21, 1979 and she survives of the home.
Daniel was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1978. Following high school he attended Missouri Southern State College in Joplin for two years. Daniel worked for Key Industries in Nevada for 20 years until his retirement. He was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church. Daniel was an avid gun enthusiast. He loved his family, loved to laugh and tell jokes, and make people laugh.
In addition to his wife survivors include one daughter, Susan Caviness, Nevada; one son, Joshua Seitz, Nevada; four grandchildren, Sara Reiff, Chantel Reiff, James Reiff, Mason Seitz; mother, Betty Seitz, Nevada; one sister, Nancy (Seitz) Aguilar, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Seitz; one sister, Peggy Seitz; one brother-in-law, Christopher Aguilar.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Chad Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
