Raymond Eugene Foraker, age 61, went to be with the Lord at 10:47 am, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, MO after a sudden illness.
Raymond was born to the late Kesse A Foraker Jr. and Lois (Tomlinson) Foraker on March 14, 1957 in Huntington, IN. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1975.
He last worked for U S Assets, Joplin, MO. When he lived in Fayetteville, AR, he worked with Habitat for Humanity. He volunteered to help at many of the car shows in Galena. He was at one time a helper for the Galena Fire Dept. He loved going to drag races at Mo-Kan. Raymond’s favorite pastime was fishing.
Raymond was married to Marion Trec Calloway on April 1, 1988. She passed away June 28, 2007.
He is survived by two sons, Ronnie Loyd, Scammon, KS and Donnie Loyd, Columbus, KS; three grandchildren, Samantha Thomas, Mike Thomas, and Natalie Loyd; his mother Lois Kersey, Galena,; 5 brothers, Jerry Foraker, Silver Lake IN, Rex Foraker, Joplin, MO, Jay Foraker, Galena; George Kersey, Gaena, and Dennis kersey, Joplin; two sisters, Joyce Laubach Fayetteville, AR, and Rose Fields, Baxter Springs, KS; and too many nieces and nephews to mention.
He has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Joe West Jr will officiate. His final resting place will be at Olympia Cemetery, Grove, OK.
