Paul Anthony Kral, Jr., age 77, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at his home. He was born April 13, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Paul Anthony and Mary Ellen (Kotnek) Kral, Sr.
Paul received his PhD in Psychology from the Duke University. He was a Psychologist in Nevada, Missouri before moving to Mt. Vernon. He was a member of the St. Susanne Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon and the Knights of Columbus.
On June 14, 1986, he married Karen Belanger in Nevada, Missouri.
Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen; one son, Tony Kral of Nixa, Missouri; a niece, Joyce Kraus and her husband, Dennis, of Wichita, Kansas and their son, Michael Kraus; adoptive daughter, Karen Hansen, of Joplin, Missouri and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents, Paul and Mary, and his sister, Norma Trotnic and her husband, Henry, preceded him in death.
A rosary will be held from 6:00-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the St. Susanne Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery.
Paul was an active member of the St. Susanne Catholic Church. He trusted his faith in God, our father and his son Jesus Christ, and has by his own wishes, gone home.
