Sylvia E. Garman, age 83, of Diamond, Mo., passed away on Sunday April 29, 2018 at her home, following an illness.
Sylvia was born on February 18, 1935 in Limestone, Ar., the daughter of the late Russell and Flora (Sames) Davis. She married Clarence Garman on April 29, 1955. They have lived in Diamond since 1970. She was a homemaker and was a member of Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ in Neosho.
She is survived by her husband Clarence; daughter Marinda Arner of Neosho, Mo.; three sons, Sonny Garman and his wife Janet of Joplin, Steve Garman and his wife Marina of Oronogo, Mo., David Garman and his wife Graciela of St. Petersburg, Fl.; ten grandchildren, Shannah Arner, Aaron Garman and his wife Erin, Andrew Garman and his wife Samantha, Casey Garman, Mathew Garman and wife Jennifer, Brianna Garman, Hillary Garman, Lauri Kuri, Angela Kuri, Madison Sapp; four great grandchildren, Colby, Madison, Todd, Greyson; a brother, Russell Davis Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas; and three sisters, Gleanna Nichols of Bentonville, Ar., Gretta Tique of Kansas City, Ks., Barbara Cauveren of Kansas City, Ks.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Rocketdyne Church of Christ, Neosho, Mo. Denny Kruse, minister, will officiate. Burial will be at Diamond Cemetery, Diamond, Mo.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Thursday evening at Mason Woodard, Joplin, Mo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
