Dorothy Faubion

Dorothy Jean Faubion, age 93, passed away early Friday morning April 27th, at her home in Lamar, MO. 

Dorothy was born in Milford, MO, November 18, 1924 to Othal and Ethel Mae (Wagaman) Gardner. She married Marvin Wilson Faubion August 16, 1942. She went to work for the Oil and Propane Company owned by Carl Schmitz in 1965 as a bookkeeper and a sales person. Dorothy worked in that capacity for 28 years until her retirement in 1993. The company changed hands and names but Dorothy was the one constant that the customers could count on. She was a long time member of the American Legion, the Calla Rebekah’s Lodge and The Milford Christian Church. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin Faubion, a brother Wayne “Buzzy” Gardner and her sister Donna Mae Harvey. She is survived by her children; Marva Jean Stahl and husband Jay, of Lamar, Douglas Faubion and wife Jo, of Forsyth, MO, Judy Goldammer and husband Jeff, of Joplin, MO, Terry “Bonzo” Faubion and wife Susie, of Lamar and Sallie Willhite and husband Brent, also of Lamar. 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren also survive her. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards with good friends and crocheting and quilting for her family.

There will be a funeral service at the Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be at the Memory Garden Cemetery. Clifford Hazard, Pastor of the Milford Christian Church, will officiate. Condolences may be left at www.konantzwarden.com. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Milford Christian Church and the Barton County Senior Center in Lamar.
