Connie Sue Sanders, born on January 30 1950 went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday July 17, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her father, John Shirley and her mother, Louise Shirley. Connie is survived by her son Jeremy Sanders of Joplin, MO; two sisters, Jo Ann Gerard of Carthage and Mary Hilton and her husband Thurman of Carthage, two brothers; John Shirley and his wife Marion of Tahlequah, OK and Robert Shirley of Fayette, MO, one grandson, David Lewis Sanders of Carthage and many nieces and nephews. Connie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Carthage, MO.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 prior to services. Contributions may be made to the Carthage VFW Ladies Auxiliary or Alzheimer’s Foundation in care of the Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent at www.ulmerfh.com.
