Delores “Dee” Smotherman Eberle, 83, Neosho, died July 29, 2014 at Medicalodge in Neosho, following a short illness.
Dee was born Sept. 7, 1930 in Dodge City, Kansas and moved to the area in 1968 from Colorado. She worked at Sunbeam for over 24 years and then worked at the Dollar General Store for several years. She volunteered at Freeman Neosho with the Auxillary and attended the Neosho United Methodist Church. Dee married Archie Smotherman, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1993 and then married Max Eberle, who also precedes her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Jean Bennett and husband, Dwight, Neosho; Linda Bryce and Glenda Smotherman, Orlando, FL and Peggy Smotherman, Neosho; two sisters, Alice Haney, Encinitas, CA and Betty Mead, Asbury, MO; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
