Nancy Mae McCrillis age 80 of Joplin, Mo. passed away July 24, 2014 following a short illness.
She was born May 21, 1934 in Sault- Ste. Marie, Michigan to Gustav Albin and Pauline Lorraine Hageman Dahlquist. She was a piano teacher for many years and has taught in several states. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists, member and past president of the National Music Teachers Association, member of LWML- Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Joplin, Mo.
Nancy married Walter C. McCrillis II on July 9, 1955 in Warwick RI, and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters; Polly McCrillis-Mach and husband Rich, Wentworth, Mo., Lorily McCrillis-Haase and husband Charles, Kansas City, Ks., four grandchildren; Eric David Williams, Jacob Walter Bailey, Tess Marie Williams, Lydia Mae Haase, three great grandchildren; Eric David Williams II, Nataliya Williams, and Analeah Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Diana Mae McCrillis, and her brother, John Dahlquist.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. September 14, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Joplin, Mo. with Pastor Gregory Mech officiating.
