Judy Ramsdell-Reynolds

Judy Marjorie Ramsdell-Reynolds, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at her home.

Judy was born October 11, 1944 in Belvidere, Illinois, daughter of the late Felix and Sylvia Mack. They moved to California where she graduated from Ventura High School in Ventura, California. She was a mother and homemaker while in California, and was married to Richard Hayes Ramsdell. She took care of her children, Rik and Marcy, while in California, and moved to Joplin in 1999.

While in Joplin she worked at Freeman Hospital, volunteered at the Outreach Program, and dedicated much of her time to her church. She also worked at St. Mary's Catholic Church as a nutritionist, and volunteered at St. Peter's. She was the kind of person that always put others first, and was a loving and wonderful person that will be greatly missed.

Judy married William Reynolds on October 30, 2005, he survives at the home. Additional survivors include her children, Marcy Ramsdell of Joplin, and Rik Ramsdell of Ventura, California; grandson, Mark Ramsdell of Joplin, great-grandchildren, Robin Ramsdell of Joplin, Haven Morrison-Ramsdell and Hanna Ramsdell both of Ventura; sister, Beverly Brown of Arizona; brothers, Ron Mack of California, and Jim Mack of Alaska; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father J. Friedel officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 9:30 until time for Mass.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.

  1. Judy Ramsdell was the coolest person I've ever known. She lived here in Ventura and then moved to Joplin, MO. When she came back to Ventura, she would come visit me...we would talk about her daughter Marcy who I knew for many years. Special girl. Love you two...DSCN2131.jpg
