Willard E. Ethridge, 84, Neosho, died July 29, 2014 at Medicalodge in Neosho, following a short illness.
Willard was born January 25, 1930 in Fairview, Missouri, the son of Chester and Lilly (Miller) Ethridge. He returned to the area from Independence 34 years ago and had worked at Missouri Portland Cemetery Company in Sugar Creek, MO. He loved flowers, enjoyed vegetable gardening, playing guitar, fishing and hunting. He was a former Boy Scout Leader in Independence for 3 years and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the Neosho Community Chapel and had been active in the Nursing Home Ministry, 1990-2006 and with the prison ministry.
Willard is survived by nine children, Dale Eugene Ethridge, Tina Ann Ashby, Lisa Diane Larrimore, Tony, Bill, Kimberly, Kathy, Mike and Angelique Trusty; four brothers, Wayne, Kenneth, Don and Glenn Ethridge; two sisters, Ruby Irene Moss and Ella Carter and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Joseph Ethridge.
