Lucille M. Reeves, age 88, of Pierce City, MO died on Thursday, July 10, 2014. at Freeman Health System West in Joplin, MO. Ms. Reeves was born near Clarkson Springs, MO on Tuesday, December 08, 1925. She was the daughter of George A. and Alice (Russell) Abbott. Ms. Reeves graduated from Pierce City High School in 1944, and attended Draughns Business College in Springfield, MO. She was a secretary for many years and was a member of Van Buren Union Chapel.
Surviving are the following: her daughter, Nancy Stephens of Carthage, MO; one brother, George T. Abbott of Spokane, WA; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Monday, July 14, 2014, from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gene Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO.
