Terry Bill Herron, 73, Neosho, died June 29, 2014 in Neosho.
Terry was born Feb. 10, 1941 in Joplin, the son of William O. and Hazel Pauline (Beeler) Herron. He served in the National Guard, November 1965 through November 1986. Terry was a police officer, beginning his career in 1975 and retired in 1994. He served as the Chief of Police for the City of Neosho, 1991 through 1994. He was a private pilot and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, flying and outdoor activities. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Terry and Carole (Simpson) were married on March 15, 1968 and shared 46 years, together, Carole survives of the home. Also surviving are four children, Steven Herron and wife, Cindy, Springfield; William Herron and wife, Mary, Carthage; Launie Herron and husband, Max, Anderson and Susan Wallace and husband, Richard, Watertown, NY; eleven grandchildren, Crystal, Shane, Alyssa, Christopher, Faith, Tara, Tori, Stacia, Sheri, Brandyn and Bethany; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Katelyn, Brenna, Tre, Miles, Helena and Vada and a brother, Larry Herron and wife, Linda, Neosho. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tara.
