Wanda (Witt) Ast, 48, of Monett, MO, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 4:44 am after conquering cancer for 16 months. She is survived by her husband, Mike Ast; four daughters: Lastacia (Davis) & Simon Tottingham of Seneca, Cassie (Davis) & Craig Potts of Springfield, Mackenzie Ast & Whitney Ast of Monett; one granddaughter: Madyson Tottingham; three sisters: Vickie (Witt) & Don Iman of Pierce City, Donna (Witt) & Bob Neff of Springfield, Sarah Witt of Monett; two brothers: Richard & Colette Witt of Marionville, Leonard & Tina Witt of Monett.
Wanda was a 1984 graduate of Monett High School. She was well known for her encouraging and energetic personality. Her sweet smile and warm laughter will always be remembered. She worked for the USDA at Southwest City, MO.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 5th at the First Baptist Church located at 21819 Highway 97, Pierce City, MO. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.. Graveside services will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Monett. She will be buried beside her parents, Joann (Boke) & Victor Witt, and brother, Patrick Witt. Memorial contributions can be made to Ast Family to assist with the children’s education in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
