Howard Dean Lake, age 83 of Neosho, Missouri passed away at his residence surrounded by his family.
Howard was born October 6, 1931 to the late Virgil L. and Laura L. Seaton Lake in Joplin, Missouri. Howard served our county in the United States Army Air Corp the last year before becoming the U.S. Air Force. He was a well known diesel mechanic, working for many local companies in the Joplin area.
On July 24, 1954, Howard married Collene Martin in Joplin. She preceded him in death on March 01, 2013. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, Glen, Donald and Johnny Lake; two sisters, Virgilee Williams and Carolyn Lake.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Terry of Joplin, Laura L. Lake of Joplin, Nancy Yust and husband Kurt of Neosho; four grandchildren, Melissa Ramirez and husband Juan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Josh Santana and wife Kayla of Carterville, Scott Goswick and wife Tammy of Seneca, John Yust of Neosho; other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will greatly miss Howard as well.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6:00-7:00PM at Parker Mortuary, Joplin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Racine Christian Church "Building Fund" or the Neosho Christian School.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
