Carolyn Holland

Carolyn Holland, 73, passed away at her home after an extended illness with her family by her side. 

She was born in Carthage, Missouri January 18, 1941 to Richard and Heilig Stafford. She graduated from Carthage High School class of 1958. Carolyn worked as an accounting clerk for Carthage MFA for 11 years, Morrow Lumber for 6 years, the Jasper County Assessor’s office and retired from Butterball after 10 ½ years. Carolyn was a very active member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

 Carolyn was united in marriage to Don December 28, 1958 he survives. Carolyn is survived by her mother Bernice Lane of Joplin, MO, one sister Barbara Poope of Joplin, two daughters Debbie Cooley and husband Mick of Carthage, Karen Abshier and husband Leroy of Cassville, and three grandchildren Zack Cooley, Whitney Webber and Andy Abshier, one great grandchild Layla Webber.

 Services will be 2:00p.m. Saturday July 12, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Friday July 11, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Fidelity Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Bethany Baptist Church or Hospice Compassus in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
