Janette Jane Cook Ragland, 81, entered heavens gates, led by her Jesus at 2:54 PM, July 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family, following a short illness.
Janette was born April 21, 1933 in Winfield, KS to Ed and Bessie Gill Cook. She moved to Neosho-Goodman area in 1972. She was a Medical Transcriptionist at Sale Hospital. Janette was also a Transcriptionist for the Newton County Sheriff’s Department, from which she retired. She loved being with her family. She also loved music, which was a big part of her life and traveling. She was a member of Splitlog Baptist Church. She married Estis Ragland, August 14, 1959 in Neosho. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2010.
Janette is survived by two sons, Brad Jordan, Goodman, MO and Randy and Kay Jordan, Whitehouse, TN. Four daughters: Tami and Mike Manwiller, and Jana and Delbert Cravens, Goodman, MO, DiAnna and Tim Wages, and DeAnna and Larry Dowell, Neosho, MO. Thirty grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren with an additional 2 on the way and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Thurman and Larry Cook and one grandson, Jacob Wages.
