Mary F. Woolston, age 84, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday July 6, 2014, at her home, following an illness.
Mary was born on January 12, 1930 in McDonald County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lee and Pearl (Spiva) Collier. She has been a resident since 1963. She married Raymond Dale Woolston on July 26, 1949 in Miami, Okla. Together they raised three children. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Briarbrook Country Club. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, and quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Woolston, Joplin, and Gary Woolston and wife Diane, Austin, Tx.; one daughter Debbie McBride and husband Ron, Joplin; two sisters, Maybelle Woolston, Mound City, Ks., and Dorothy Smith, Baxter Springs, Ks.; four grandchildren, Wes Bedwell, Gravette, Ar., Brittany Delozier, Butler, Mo., Alex and Anna Woolston, both of Austin, Tx.; and two great-grandchildren, Gage McBride and Cameron Bedwell.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Hank Deslatte and Pastor Gary Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
