Maynard A. “Bud” Saloga, 81, of Carthage passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 at Mercy McCune Hospital.
Bud was born November 25, 1932 in Monett, MO. He was the son of Oscar Saloga and Ceclia “Schad” Saloga. Bud was a longtime resident of Carthage. He graduated from Prudy High School with the class of 1951. Bud served in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Standard Oil Bulk Agent Service in Carthage until 1964. Bud then owned B & R Rebuilders from 1976 to 2001. He was baptized December 18, 1932 and confirmed on April 30, 1947 at Stones Prairie Lutheran Church and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Carthage.
Bud was united in marriage to Ruby Ann Lampe on February 17, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, MO. She survives. Other Survivors include two daughters; Nancy Jane (Saloga) Robinson of Carthage and Katherine Ann Saloga of Carthage, one sister Nadine (Saloga) Oberman of Monett, MO, three grandchildren; Amber Marie White (“Sweet”), Matthew Scott Robinson and Charles Robinson, two great grandchildren; Trinity Dawn White and Colt “Cole” Robert White. Bud was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Saloga in July 1985.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday July 7, 2014 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Carthage. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Monday before services at the church. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Church or Good Shepherd Cemetery Fund in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
