He was born on November 10, 1961 in El Ranchito de San José del Carmen, Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Moisés Martínez and Leonor Ramírez. Gilberto and Amelia Martínez were married on December 23, 1984 in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Gilberto is survived by his three children: Eric Martinez and his wife, Darlene of Los Angeles, CA. Gilbert Martinez of Neosho, MO. Joshua Martinez of Neosho, MO. Two brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister.
