(From Clark Funeral Home)Velda Louise Studdard, age 90, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, in the comfort of her home. She was born July 10, 1932, to the late Arla Scott Connor and Elva Christina (Wells) Conner in Rose Hill, Kansas.
On August 24, 1954, Velda married Earnest Edgar Studdard in Texas; he preceded her in death on January 10, 1994.
Velda worked on the production line for Kraft and then for Classic Eggs for many years. She was a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church and was the last surviving charter member of the church.
Velda will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughter Kathi (Roy) Stephens of Neosho, Mo; grandchildren, Khristena RaDawn Humphrey, Mika (Stacy) Jack, two that called her gramme, Koda (Phillip) Swift, Paizlei Stephens; four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; one brother Orvie (Mildred) Conner of Neosho, MO.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one brother Basil Conner, and two sisters, Emma Conner Standerfer and Verva Lois Conner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, with Dr. Phil McClendon officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho.
Kolten Humphrey, Blake Jack, Jade Humphrey, Mikal Jack, Scott Mitchell, and Brian Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron McNeil, Stacy Jack, Phillip Edens, Bob Judd.
