Jack Hardesty

Jack Hardesty, age 76, of Nixa, passed away on Friday December 2, 2022, at National Health Care Center in Joplin.

Jack was born on September 24, 1946, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Elmer Hardesty and Isabelle Hardesty (Rust). He married Donna Turner on December 31, 1990, in Carthage, Missouri. He was blessed with three children and one stepchild. Jack and Donna made their home in Nixa, MO. Jack was in the United States Navy for twenty-three years.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Hardesty and Isabelle Hardesty (Rust.) He was also preceded in death by his grandson Garrett Blotter.

He is survived by his wife Donna of thirty-two years. One Son, Ricky Oldham of Alabama. Two Daughters, Gina Hardesty Blakley (Robert) of Alabama, and Misty Rae Mason (James) of Willard Missouri, and one stepdaughter, Rachelle Doerge Long (Robert) of Nixa, Missouri. One Brother, James Hardesty of South Dakota and one sister, Patricia Ketterling of Los Angeles, California. Jack is survived by 7 grandchildren: Paige Whitcomb (Mick), Brianna Reichert (Nathan), Jordan Thomas (Brandi), John McGee, Hailey Forrester, Claire Fletcher, Kiera Fletcher. He is also survived by one great grandson: Colton Thomas.

Jack will be entered into rest with military honors Friday December 9, 2022, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO at 1:00 p.m.
