Rosalie Elliott, age 84, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 10:17 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born September 11, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Arnold Joseph and Helen Marie (Rowland) Miller.
Rosalie graduated in 1956 and was a homemaker. On February 26, 1957, she married Burnis Ray Elliott in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2015.
Rosalie is survived by her two daughters, Lanetta Gripka of Monett, Missouri and Lanatta Yoachum, of Willard, Missouri; three sons, John Elliott-Norwood and his wife, Sheila, of Del City, Oklahoma, Robert Elliott and his wife, LaDonna, of Springdale, Arkansas and Daniel Elliott of Joplin, Missouri; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Helen; her husband, Burnis, and her brother, Arnold Miller.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
