Beverly Lewis

Beverly Kay Lewis was born on May 6, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harold Curtis and Vivian (Swanson) Lewis. She entered into rest in Neosho, Missouri on December 14, 2023, at the age of 76. 

 Beverly graduated from Neosho High School, class of 1965. She was united in marriage to Bill Lewis on December 6, 1969, at Sweetwater Baptist Church and he survives. 

Beverly worked at the Neosho School District as a paraprofessional for special needs. She loved going to the lake and skiing, cooking, being with her grandchildren and especially going to Wendy’s on Wednesday’s. Beverly was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church and loved serving her church.

In addition to her husband of fifty-four years, she is survived by two children, Kerri Patterson and husband, Jeff of Neosho and Curt Lewis of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Kelsi Johnson, Emily Johnson, Carlee Patterson, and Blake Patterson; one brother, Jim Stephenson and wife, Marcy and one sister, Gaylene Farwell and husband, Stona, all of Cassville, Missouri and honorary family members, Chris and Chrisie Hightower.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, December 18, 2023, at Sweetwater Baptist Church, Rev. Tom Casady, II will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hazelgreen Cemetery, Boulder City, Missouri. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Hightower, Dale Brashers, Calvin Frazier, Kevin Ewing, Kenton Beard and David Watkins. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation from 1 pm until service time at the church.
