Tony McGee

Anthony “Tony” McGee, age 62 of Joplin, MO., passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in Springfield, MO.

Tony was born on July 19, 1961, in Columbus, KS. the son of Jim and Freddie (Reimer) McGee. He has been a long-time area resident. Tony worked as a Radiation Therapist for Mercy for many years before retiring in 2014. He was a member of Christ’s Community Church, Joplin.

He married Mary Meyer on November 14, 1981, she survives. 

Additional survivors include two sons; Matthew McGee and his wife Holly of Joplin, and Donald McGee and wife Jessica and their family, his sister; Cathy Cranor of Joplin, a nephew, Luke Cranor and wife Britany, his niece; Hannah Coats and husband Shawn and their families, they were all important in his life, and his “Little Buddies”; Colton and Lane.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2023, at the Christ’s Community Church in Joplin.
