(From Simpson Funeral Home)With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Terry Ridgway, a generous and reliable soul who touched countless lives with his talent and kindness. Born on September 11, 1949, in Joplin, MO, Terry notably served the community for many years as a dedicated postal clerk at USPS in Joplin, MO, until his retirement in 2007.
Terry was known for his unwavering commitment to his work, always ensuring that each piece of mail reached its destination. This dedication was a testament to his reliability - a trait that extended far beyond his work life and was deeply ingrained in his character.
Terry was not just a dedicated worker; he was also an ardent lover of life. His hobbies painted the picture of a man delighting in the simple pleasures. Terry found solace and joy in his garden, a testament to his patience and care. His love for his pets, particularly his cats and dogs, showcased his tender heart. A sports enthusiast, he reveled in the exhilaration of a well-played game, especially when it involved his treasured St. Louis Cardinals or Kansas City Chiefs. Yet, above all, Terry valued his family and friends, demonstrating his generous spirit time and time again.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Rosetta Ridgway of Asbury; his sisters, Cynthia (Ray) Hataway of Oronogo and Wanda Hole of Webb City; his son, Greg (Leslie) Cole of Carthage; his grandchildren, Garrett (Kayla) Cole of Junction City, KS, Dylan (Kristen) Cole of Oronogo, Nolan (Sarah) Cole of Carthage, Emma Cole, Brett Cole, and Elyse Cole, all of Carthage; along with 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
