(From Clark Funeral Home)Mary Faye Maness, a devoted believer, mother, and homemaker peacefully passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 86. Her life was characterized by love, care, and cherished moments with family and friends.
Born on October 3, 1937, to Tommy and Edith (Hopkins) Beaver, in Bethpage, MO, Mary's life journey began with humble roots. She graduated from Stella High School and embraced the role of homemaker with passion and dedication. Sewing, cooking, and caring for her family were a few of her many acts of love, reflecting her nurturing spirit and dedication to her family. She enjoyed helping with the day-to-day operation of the family farm just outside of Stella.
Mary was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church and later Fellowship Baptist Church after moving to Neosho. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and especially yard work. She was a regular most mornings at the House of Donuts.
On June 4, 1955, Mary was united in marriage to Don Maness. Together, they shared a blessed life until his passing on February 22, 2006.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rick Maness, Terri Boll, and husband Gregg of Lees Summit, along with grandchildren Andrea Tiffany and husband Greg, and Andrew Boll. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Pippa, and sister-in-law Fredda Beaver.
In addition to her husband, Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Edith Beaver, and siblings Wilma Halverson and Norman Beaver.
Services to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Clark Funeral Homes Chapel of Memories in Neosho, MO. A visitation will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Her final resting place will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, MO.
