(From Nichols Funeral Home)Terry R. Kleeman, age 58, of Monkey Island, OK passed away on December 26, 2023 at home surrounded by friends.
Terry was born on December 8, 1965, to Jariel and Cheryl (Richardson) Kleeman in Lamar, Mo. He grew up in Joplin, MO and graduated from Memorial High School in 1984.
After graduation, Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country. After his military time, Terry moved back to Joplin where he worked in paper production for Gulf States Paper Company.
In 2010, Terry married Dionne Chronic and moved to Oklahoma City.
Terry had been a “Weekender” at Grand Lake for many years and eventually moved to the lake full time in 2017 with his wife Dionne.
Terry enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting being his favorite activities. He was a part of the TBF (The Bass Federation) and FLW (Fishing League Worldwide) fishing clubs, where he toured all over the United States competing in tournaments. He made many appearances on the national stage for his achievements.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish Terry’s memory, wife, Dionne Kleeman, daughters, Danielle Farmer (Eric) of Carl Junction, MO., Bailey Kleeman ( Ashlie) of Langley, Ok and son, Hunter Kleeman of Oklahoma City, OK, Sister Melissa Pence (Dennis) of Joplin, Mo and 2 grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Private family services are planned at a later date.
