(From Moser Memorial Chapel)Elna “Colleen” Yount, 91 years, of Fremont, NE went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.
Colleen was born on June 15, 1932 to Arthur and Myrtle (Jones) Boyer in Lamar, MO. She grew up around the Lamar area. On September 27, 1947, she married Calvin D. “Bill” Yount.
She was a beautician and owned a shop in Fremont. She enjoyed crocheting, rug hooking, and working the New York Times crossword puzzles. More recently she enjoyed playing games on her cell phone, watching game shows on TV, and enjoyed the company of her dog, Buddy.
Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Bill this last March; her parents, great granddaughters, Allyssa and Courtney; 6 sisters and 3 brothers; and son-in-law, Jerry L. Eckert.
She is survived by daughters, Georgia Eckert, Kathy (Harold) Cassidy, and Joyce (Allen) Henrichson; 10 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 25 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 2:30 P.M., Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Moser's in Fremont.
