Tommy Maslen

Tommy Maslen, lost his long battle with lung cancer on December 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by his wife, kids, and immediate family & friends. 

Tommy Maslen was born on May 15, 1972 in Sedgwick County Wichita. He was in the National Guard from 1989-1991. He also served on the Pittsburg Police Department as a reserve officer during the same period. 







Tommy Maslen, was a dedicated member of the Arma Fire/ Crawford County Fire District #2 for eight years, and made lifelong brothers. Chuck Burns, Cory Hallacy, Dave Brown, Ken Yoakum, Jerry Wayman. 

Tommy was known for his passion about “fast cars” he spent many hours in his garage building race cars from the ground up with his Father Thomas Maslen, and Brother Brian Maslen. Tommy, also loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping with the people he loved. Tommy was a very family oriented man. He always made sure his family came first. 

Tommy was very dedicated to the jobs that he had performed over the years in his life span. He worked at Able Body as maintenance/tooling in Pittsburg, Ks and a painter in Joplin, Mo. he was the Plant Manager at Sugar Creek in Pittsburg, Ks. Tommy has worked at various Auto Body shops in the surrounding area Where he was privilege to work at Vietti’s Auto Body & Collision Shop where he took a lot of pride in his work. 

Tommy Maslen was united in marriage to Jennifer Maslen on October 11, 2003 at Timmons Chapel in Pittsburg, Ks. They just celebrated 20 years of marriage. She survives of the home.






 

Together they have made a wonderful family including son Austin Spragg, grandson Kayson Spragg, daughter, Ashley Keeler and Quinten, grandchildren, Layla, Zoey, Michael, Khaleesi Strickland, daughter, Chelsea Keeler and Tommy, Grandson, Julian Wright, Daughter, Sidney Maslen and Ethan, Grandson, Deacon Hambright. Tommy was proceeded in Death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his mother Carol, two Brothers Jay and Billy, and his Aunts, Alice and Ellen. He is Survived by his wife Jennifer Maslen, and their kids, his Father Thomas Maslen, Brother Brian Maslen, and Sister Karen Cox. 

A celebration of life will be held at the Arma Golden Era in Arma, Ks at 1pm on January 6, 2024.
