Sue Saale

Carolyn ‘Sue’ Saale, age 82 of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Quaker Hill Manor, in Lowell, Kansas, following an extended illness. Sue was born on September 5, 1941 in Stockton, Missouri to the late Wade and Mary John (Emshwiller) Cowan.

Sue graduated from Stockton High School in 1959 and soon after married her sweetheart, Mike Saale on October 2, 1962. Sue’s first retirement came from working with Southwestern Bell and AT&T after more than 25 years of service. 








She would later own and operate Southwest Diesel and Mans Trucking with her husband before retiring for the second time with Aegis in Joplin. Prior to her decline in health, Sue attended Crossroads Church in Baxter Springs, Kansas.

Surviving Sue are her daughters, Chele Childers (Melvin) of Seneca, and Nikki Hart of St. Petersburg, Florida; sisters, Sherry Stephens (J.D.) of Stockton and Kelly Hendricks (Rod) of Stockton; brother, Steve Cowan (Kathy) of Ashland, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea Harmon (Derrick), Lane and Joe Goodwin, Grace and Zeke Hart; one great-grandchild, Ty Harmon; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and close friends.

Other than her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Mike who passed on August 6, 2021.








Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Stockton Christian Church with burial to follow at Lindley Prairie Cemetery near Bear Creek, Missouri.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
