(From Clark Funeral Home)Thara June Sanders was born September 8, 1934, in Yukon, Missouri, one of ten children to Fred James and Norma Bell (Dixon) Medlock. She entered into rest on December 28, 2023, in the comfort of her home at the age of 89.
Thara moved to the area in 1970 from Houston, Missouri. She worked as a dietary aide for the Neosho Public Schools, retiring in May 1996. After retirement from the school, she worked at Freeman Hospital during the summers.
Thara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Houston, Missouri. Thara was a wonderful homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren was her greatest joy. On September 13, 1952, in Salem, Arkansas,
Thara was united in marriage to MC ‘Sandy’ Sanders, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1996.
Thara is survived by three children, Thara June ‘Sis’ Little and husband, Robert of Neosho; Michael Clyde Sanders and significant other, Dorothy Payne of Highlandville, Missouri and Fred Sanders and significant other, Sandra Hulsey of Neosho; one sister, Linda Hall of Houston, Missouri; two brothers, Robert Medlock of Ellisville, Missouri and Don Medlock and wife, Kay of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Beverley Sanders Stuart; a grandson, Thomas Sampson and three brothers, Glen, Ronnie, and John Medlock.
