(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Darla Martin, 64, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Darla entered this life on July 27, 1959, in Compton, California, daughter of the late, Darvin Edward and Ocie Lenora (Eatmon) Hale. She was united in marriage to Jamie Lee Martin on April 2, 1993 in Miami, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Anderson, Missouri.
Darla loved her children, grandchildren and her dogs. She dedicated many hours to lovingly make quilts for her family and friends. She was a caregiver to so many, always putting others before herself. Darla will be remembered as a spitfire with a heart of Gold, who would do anything for anyone.
Darla is survived by her loving husband, Jamie Martin of the home; her children and grandchildren, Taylor Martin of Springfield, Missouri, Amy Chaney & Nick Bussey of Goodman, Missouri (Layla Gutierrez, Makayla Hall, Bryce Hall), Lee Chaney of Anderson, Missouri (Makenzie Chaney), Audrey & Troy Sneed of Carl Junction, Missouri (Jacob Preston, Mason Preston, Owen Sneed, Eva Sneed, Clay Sneed) Nathan & Cassidy Martin of Las Vegas, Nevada (Gunner Martin, Aeris Martin); siblings, her twin sister, Carla Hale (Dennis) of Chicago, Illinois, Charles Ann Hale of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Ricky Hale of Spiro, Oklahoma, James Perry Hale of Anderson, Missouri and Phillip Lowery of Pocola, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren on the way; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Darla.
Funeral services for Darla will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Steven Law officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date in the New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri.
