Linda Forkum

Linda Gayle Forkum of Overland Park, KS passed from this life Friday, December 29, 2023 at Stratford Commons Memory Care in Overland Park, KS. She was 87.

Linda was born May 4, 1936 in Joplin, MO to Francis and Ethylene (Short) Brown. She had lived in Overland Park for the past 10 years moving from Miami, OK. She graduated from Joplin High School and was a homemaker and volunteer at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. Linda attended All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Miami, OK.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, William Keith Forkum, 1 grand daughter, Adrienne Forkum Wayman, her parents and 1 brother, Martin Brown.

Linda is survived by 2 sons, Greg Forkum and wife Lynn of Miami, OK and Guy Forkum of Miami, OK, 1 daughter, Ronda Weisz and husband Mark of Lenexa, KS, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. The Rev. Mary Susan Whaley will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Greg Forkum, Guy Forkum, Mark Weisz, Hunter Forkum, Jarod Forkum and Goose Weisz will serve as pallbearers.
