Patricia Wright

Patricia Ann Wright, age 71, Joplin, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Mercy of Joplin with family at her side after a short illness.

Patricia was born August 21, 1952 in Seattle, WA, daughter of the late James H. Wright and Ruth E. (Boedecker) Wright. She graduated from Joplin High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Missouri Southern State University. 

 

She worked for the United States Post Office in Joplin for over 43 years before retiring in 2022. Growing up she was a proud member of the Rainbows where she and her sister (Pamela) and her mother (Ruth) learned Bible scriptures. She was a loving mother who always gave of herself to her family and others. She led a life of serving her family. She took care of her mother, father-in-law, husband, and most of all her special needs son, Kevin.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Terry M. Wright who passed away in January of this year.

Survivors include her sister, Pamela K. Grauerholz and husband Kevin of Joplin; sons, Kevin E. Wright of Joplin, and Kamden M. Wright and wife Holly of Stotts City, MO; grandchildren, Lillian Wright, Joah Wright, Leighton Wright, and Lincoln Wright all of Stotts City; niece, Jessica Turner of Webb City, and nephew, Joshua Hammon of Webb City; great-nephews, Keagon and Mason Turner.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with Pastor Dan Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
