Betty L. Wilson, 86, Carthage, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, July 20, 2016 at Carthage Health and Rehab, Carthage. Betty Lou Sanders was born November 17, 1929 in La Russell, MO to the late Jess Sanders and Stella (Chrisman) Sanders. Betty married Eugene L. Wilson on June 29, 1946 in Columbus, KS; he preceded her in death on December 13, 2006. She worked as a homemaker and was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, David Wilson (wife Sharon), Carthage, MO, and James Wilson, Carthage, MO; one sister Dorothy Zerbonia, Carthage, MO; six grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Ted Sanders, Don Sanders, Joe Sanders, and Leslie Sanders, and one sister, Evelyn Thorn.
A graveside memorial service will be held 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Minister Derek Moser will officiate. Inurnment will follow the service.
