Ronald D. VanWinkle, age 75 of Carl Junction, Mo. passed away Wednesday July 20, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Mo.
Ronald was born on March 30, 1941 in Neosho, Mo. The son of Melvin and Elanor (Fox) VanWinkle. He has been a lifetime area resident. Ronald worked for Modine Manufacturing Company as an inspector for 22 years, retiring in 2002. Ronald enjoyed fishing and hunting mushrooms, camping and spending time with family and friends.
He married Patty Russow on July 6, 1982. Survivors include: six daughters, Mendi Jones of Kansas City, Mo., Kelly Hood and husband Tom of Joplin, Mo., Kim England of Neosho, Mo., Quetta Wardlow and husband George of Fayetteville, AR., Anita Eddy and husband Michael of Webb City, Mo., and Jeanne Richardson and husband David of Joplin, Mo.; one son, Tim Ozbun and wife Paula of Commerce Ok., nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one grand-daughter Kara Richardson.
Funeral Services have been scheduled 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Larry Perry and Shawn DeGraff officiating. Burial will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-4 p.m. at Mason-Woodard.
Contributions may be given to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in care of the Mortuary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
