Tom Snow

(From Clark Funeral Home)

On July 1, 2016, Tom left us to join those who left before him and to be with his Lord.

He was a Dad in every sense of the word!!! He was protective, kind, caring and nurturing!!! He had a great love for his children. He had a great love for animals and always surprised his family with what he might find and bring home to care for. He passed that love of animals on to his children.

He never met a stranger; he cared about people and always loved to make them laugh!!! He was always the first to lend a helping hand for whoever was in need.

One of his greatest loves was his love of music. He could play any instrument he picked up. He wrote many of his own songs.

He was a huge practical jokester and always loved when he pulled a good prank, or told a good joke.

Born January 28, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri. Proud to be the son of the late Hadley & Bebe Upton. Proud to be the "Little Brother" of his one and only "Big Brother" Reece Maxey and wife Berta, and proud to be the big brother to Mary Snow. He is survived by several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his two loves he always felt blessed to have: Ann Snow and Joan Allison.

Tom was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family came first. He is survived by his nine children: Tommy Snow, wife, Kathy; Reece Snow, wife Jennie: Laurie Snow; Angie Higginbotham, husband Jimmy (Squig); Mark Snow; Becky Conerty, husband Michael; Matthew Snow, wife Elizabeth; Lizzie Snow MacDonnell, husband Fred; Karen Moran, husband Chad. Seventeen grandchildren: Tisha, Joshua & wife Tasha, Ashley, Reece Ray & wife Hannah, Tommy Lee, Dakota, Ethan, Savannah, Lorelei & husband Colin, Conner, Andrew, Noah, Christopher, Hunter, Ryan, Chase, and Hayse. Eight great-grandchildren: Dawson, Bryce, Sofie, Addy, Macie, Logan, Landon, and Maddox.

He graduated Valedictorian from Seymour High School in 1958. He went to National Chiropractic School in Chicago, Illinois. He worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in Chicago, Illinois and in Kansas City, Missouri for several years. He was a Miller Sales Representative for Frank Evans Distributing, in Joplin, Missouri, until retirement.

We lost our Dad, and our Friend and the world lost a wonderful man!!! We love him dearly and he will be missed by his family and many others. He was a Hero to some!!! Last of a breed!!!
