Patricia Ann Winfrey, age 92, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Communities of Wildwood in Joplin.
Patricia was born November 10, 1923 in Pittsburg, Kansas, daughter of the late Clarence Bumgarner and Gertrude Holland Bumgarner. She has been a lifelong area resident, and graduated from Joplin High School. She worked for a while with the telephone company before beginning her career with Sears, where she worked for over 50 years. She loved animals, especially her dogs Amber and Abigail, and Ansley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel E. Winfrey who died January 9, 2011, and a her son, Daniel Michael Winfrey who died April 12, 2013.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Allgood and husband Mike of Webb City. Blake Winfrey and wife Kristi of Goodman, Missouri; great-granddaughters, Ashley Allgood and Delaney Winfrey.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private family graveside will be held on Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family members officiating.
Patricia requests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society.
