David Cooperrider

David W. Cooperrider, 70, of Carthage, Missouri, went to be with his Heavenly Father shortly after midnight Thursday, July 14, 2016, at his home, St. Luke’s Nursing Center, as a result of complications that developed from various health conditions. 

He is survived by his former wife and dear friend: Lois (nee Reed) Cooperrider; three daughters: Deborah (Bruce) Rutherfurd, Susan Barnes, and Gail (Bob) Prenger; one grandson: Josh Cooperrider; three brothers and one sister: Carl (Terri) Cooperrider, Fred Cooperrider, Mary (Eddie) Isbell, and George (Brenda) Cooperrider; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Edna (nee Wildgrube) Cooperrider, and son-in-law, Dave Paternoster. 

Throughout his life, he was actively involved at Faith and St John Lutheran Churches, enjoyed farming, and played recreational sports. David possessed a strong work ethic and held various positions during his working years. He was well loved and will be missed by many. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, July 18, 2016, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
