Delia 'Dee' Kay Lankford, age 55 of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at Mercy Hospital following an sudden illness.
Dee was born January 25, 1961 in Neosho, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Julia Golden Lankford of Seneca, Missouri. She worked at Eagle Picher, Joplin Printing and currently employed at ISS Facility Services. She graduated from Seneca High School and was an avid ball player for many years. Dee was a member of Swars Prairie Baptist Church, Seneca.
Surviving Dee are sons, Lance McCormick of Joplin and Mathew McCormick of Carl Junction; step daughters, Pam McCormick of Olathe, Kansas and Beth McCormick of El Dorado, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ayden and August McCormick; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, July 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Swars Prairie Baptist Church, south of Seneca with Pastor, Paul Case officiating. A private burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Swars Prairie Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the church to help with funeral expenses in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
