Kenneth C. Gamble, age 81, Granby, passed away on Sunday July 17, 2016 at his home after a brief illness.
Kenneth was born July 1, 1935 in Granby, son of the late Fern Gamble and Essie Burress Gamble. He attended Granby and Neosho Schools before serving in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Construction Contractor for many years at several locations before returning to Granby over 20 years ago.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Shirlene Gamble who died November 1, 2015, and a brother, Donald Gamble.
He is survived by a son, Monty Gamble of Granby; daughters, Julie Renee Weding of Granby, and Marla Gamble of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Jennifer, Tyler, Nick, Bailey, Levi, and Zach, six great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrel Gamble (Hazel), and Jerry Gamble (Pat) all of Granby; sisters, Sadie Camerer of Granby, and Dortha McNeely of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. No formal services are planned at this time.
