Dixie Colleen Chaney, 77, Neosho, died July 5, 2016 in St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage, following an extended illness.
Dixie was born Sept. 28, 1938 in Neosho, the daughter of Glen Woodrow and Bonnie Ines (Eden) Hough. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked at Sunbeam and LaBarge. She was a member of the Silvermoon Full Gospel Church.
Dixie and Joseph L. Chaney were united in marriage on Sept. 25, 1954 in Granby and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Gary Wayne Chaney of Neosho and William Glen Chaney and wife, Angie of Neosho; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and a sister, Thelma Patterson of Neosho. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Gregory and sister, Patsy Schleppy.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
