Karen Clark, age 75 of Joplin, passed away July 29, 2016 due to a long illness that she fought with strength, beauty, grace and faith in God.
She was born to the late Jim and Magdalene Roby Aldridge on January 7, 1941 in Picher, Oklahoma. Karen graduated from Joplin High School with the class of 1959.
Karen married Richard Clark on June 27, 1964 at Forest Park Baptist Church, Joplin, he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include her children, Shawn Clark and wife, Lee Ann of Webb City, Mark Clark and wife, Stephanie of Joplin; daughter, Cerisa Dayringer and husband, E.J. of Joplin; brother, Roger Aldridge and wife, Judy of Seneca and their son, Jim also of Seneca; grandchildren, Avery Dayringer and Chelsea Clark.
Karen was very active in her church, Faith Assembly of God and will be dearly missed as a wonderful wife, sister, mother and friend. Let us grieve the loss we feel but let us also remember that our hope is not in the things of this world, but is in Christ Jesus.
This is not the end, but this is Karen's new beginning and we will see her again when we all get to heaven.
Funeral arrangements are planned for Friday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God, Joplin with Rev. Larry Griffin officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Faith Assembly Building Fund in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
