Jimmy Don Webb, age 58, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
Jimmy was born on April 28, 1958 in Neosho, Missouri, to the late Jimmy Dale Webb and Barbara Jean (Richards) Webb. Jimmy later resided in Udall, Kansas, and Wichita, Kansas, before returning back to the Joplin area with his family. He was a 1976 graduate of Parkwood High School in Joplin. Jimmy worked in production at Tamko Building Products in Joplin and retired after 18 years. He greatly enjoyed visiting antique stores, canoeing at the creek and working in his yard. Jimmy recently started attending Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church in Joplin, which he greatly enjoyed. He was often seen with a little shadow behind him, who is known as his grandson, Gauge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joe Allen Shellenberger; and his former wife, Angela Yeakey.
Jimmy is survived by two sons, Brian Webb and spouse, Hollie Sterling, and Jason Webb and wife, Linda Jones, both of Joplin, Missouri; a daughter, Misty Pietrzak, and husband, Brad Cooley, of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Gail Bowman and husband, Norman, of Wichita, Kansas, and Karen Swain and husband, Keith, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Brian Scott Webb, and wife, Renee, of Joplin, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Lexi Webb, Libby Webb, Rowdy Webb, Sunshine Webb, Matthew McLean, Gauge Webb, Austin Stapleton, Logan Sterling and Alyx Jones; and his special “lady friend”, Kriste Hall. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family is holding a memorial gathering to celebrate Jimmy’s life from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, 820 N. Schifferdecker, in Joplin.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
