(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Danny Leon Hopkins of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Galena Nursing Center in Galena, KS. He was 78.
Danny was born August 25, 1944 in Picher, OK to Robert and Letha (Forshey) Hopkins. He had lived in the Picher and Baxter Springs area all his life and graduated from Picher – Cardin High School class of 1963.
Danny had worked for the street department for the City of Baxter Springs, and had worked as a lab technician for Eagle-Picher, Consolidated Supply Company and was a truck driver for Richards and Conover Steel in Joplin, MO.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Weaver) Hopkins of the home, one son, Eric Hopkins of Baxter Springs, KS, one daughter, Stephanie Hopkins of Baxter Springs, KS, one brother, Bob Hopkins of Springfield, MO, one sister, Cynthia Dawes of Miami, OK and two grandchildren, Devyn Hopkins and Koby Stark.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK Rev, Bobby Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK.
