(From Ozark Funeral Home)Felix Rubio Rubio, 76 years old of Anderson, MO departed this life on January 30, 2023.
He was known as Chelelo by his close friends in Mexico.
Felix was born on March 01, 1946 to the late Ramon Rubio Rubio and Norberta Rubio Castro in their home in Las Pitas, Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Felix lived in Anderson for about 26 yrs.
He worked for many years in various capacities for Cementos Mexicanos as an engineer assistant, Hudson Foods, Tyson, Moark and Opal Foods. He also enjoyed working on the family farm in Ciudad Valles, Mexico where he raised cattle, chickens and pigs.
He was united in marriage on Aug 27, 1968 to the love of his life Macaria Aguilar Gonzalez. Felix was later sealed to Macaria for time and eternity in the Mexico City Temple on January 29th, 1985.
Felix was very energetic all the time. He loved to work, was very humble and alway smiling. He had the wisdom of long experience and the love of an understanding heart. He was a very gentle person and he was always ready to help others whenever they faced any problem. He taught his children to walk on the right path through his teachings at home, as well as his example. He taught his children to love God and to walk by his side. He loved spending time with all his family every Sunday after church. One of his favorite hobbies was bull-riding.
He was converted to the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1975. Felix was an ordained Elder at the time of his passing.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Isaura, Francisco and Graciela. He is survived by his brothers Daniel, Melchor, Adan, Claudio, Evodio and sisters Gregoria and Maria. He has 7 surviving children, including 3 sons and 4 daughters, from oldest to youngest: Nora Ilda Gardner and husband Paul Gardner, Gerardo Rubio and wife Felicitas Muñoz, Rosalia Chavez and husband Angel Chavez, Ana Laura Martin and husband John Martin, Sarai Garcia and Husband Paul Garcia, Felix Jesus Rubio and wife Aidet Mercado, Gadiandy Jaret Rubio and wife Ana Karen Gonsalez. Felix is a proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren: Isaac Gardner, Caleb Gardner, Jael Gardner, Christopher Rubio, Levy Rubio, Jerry Rubio, Angel Arael Chavez, Naomi Chavez, Ana Chavez, Aaliyah Martin, Dahlia Martin, Laura Martin, Mariana Garcia, Mikaela Garcia, Jayzee Rubio, Ashley Rubio, Sophia Rubio and Janice Rubio.
A memorial service for Felix Rubio will be held Friday, February 10th, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 147 Mustang Ln, Anderson , MO 64831. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
