(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Norman Russell Lindsey, age 83, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the Aurora Nursing Center. He was born July 8, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Thurman Parrish and Norma Hildred Coulon. He was raised by his mother Norma and adoptive father Harold “Doug” Lindsey.
Norm was a 1957 graduate of Chaffey High School in Ontario, California. He was a retired truck driver and a mobile mechanic. He enjoyed salt and fresh water fishing and driving dune buggies in Glamis, California, in his younger years.
On October 20, 1984, he married Geneva Mae (McDonald) Grabski, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on December 14, 2019.
Norm is survived by one daughter, Kelly Jean Babb and her husband, Jimmie of Buckeye, Arizona; one son, Russell Lee Lindsey and his wife, Stephanie, of Phoenix, Arizona; one stepdaughter, Katheryn Ann King and her husband, John, of Chino, California; two stepsons, Claude Joseph “C.J.” Grabski III, and his wife, Linda, of Granby, Missouri and Kevin Ray Grabski and his wife, Kim, of Lake Havasu, Arizona; one brother, Melvin Lee Lindsey and his wife, Susan, of Reno, Nevada; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Parrish and Norma Dogero; his adoptive father, Doug Lindsey; his wife, Geneva Lindsey and son, Douglas Ray Lindsey.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri.
